Starting high school is never easy. Seniors take your lunch money. Girls you’ve known forever are suddenly beautiful and unattainable. And you can never get enough sleep. Could there be a worse time for Scott’s mother to announce she’s pregnant? Scott decides high school would be a lot less overwhelming if it came with a survival manual, so he begins to write down tips for his new sibling. Meanwhile, he’s trying his best to capture the attention of Julia, the freshman goddess. In the process, Scott manages to become involved in nearly everything the school has to offer. So while he tries to find his place in the confusing world of high school, win Julia’s heart, and keep his sanity, Scott will be recording all the details for his sibling’s—and your—enjoyment
This book was actually part of my 9th grade reading list. The description wasn't interesting to me at all, really. But, it was the only book that sounded decent on that list - so I bought it. However, after waiting last minute to read it, I opened the cover and from the first page, I was sucked in.
Scott was an easy-to-like character. From the first couple paragraphs, you'll get to know him. It's pretty relatable. I mean, his mom was pregnant and he was making a journal for his unborn sibling about how to survive high school.
There are so many events that take place, and of course, Scott has a crush on this girl and basically joins a school club because she's in it. I'm just saying right out, Scott is definitely a guy you will like.
I really suggest this book if you're looking for a good read. It's really a fantastic book!
I GIVE THIS BOOK 5 OUT OF 5 STARS.
